Wellbeing Issue

Employee wellbeing has dominated the HR agenda in the last year and half – with the pandemic creating novel mental, physical and financial challenges which the people function was at the front and centre of alleviating.

This has, seemingly, sparked a step change in how businesses view talent and people, with many earnestly attempting to create working structures and programmes that cater to employee needs. A key part of this will be about ensuring that whatever structures, benefits package or comms strategy is put in place considers how it can support each and every employee with their wellbeing.

Therefore, to help navigate a landscape where employees increasingly hold the power in the employment market – and want their employer to have a say in their wellbeing – we spoke to the experts about how to move forward, asking our advisory board what the biggest change in wellbeing benefits will be, as well as interviewing senior HR leaders on how the function can lead by example.

In addition, for this issue’s cover feature, we interviewed Ocado Group’s Global Head of Health & Wellbeing about what the key considerations are when rolling out a new wellbeing strategy.

As ever, we hope you find this content thought-provoking and useful when navigating HR best practice.
