GitLab's guidelines for people success

The ‘employee experience’ issue
Employee experience “encapsulates what people encounter and observe over the course of their tenure at an organisation”, at least according to the experts at Culture Amp. Ergo: it’s everything, so it's important to get it right.
Positively, studies show that increasing numbers of firms are looking to get it right. Willis Tower’s Watson’s The 2021 Employee Experience Survey revealed that 98% of employers said that enhancing the employee experience will be an important priority at their firm in the next three years, likely driven by an understanding of how it benefits all areas of HR practice.
This is why inside this issue, as employers navigate 2022, we spoke to our advisory board panel to find out how HR can improve the employee experience in the new year. We also spoke to Kraft Heinz’s Chief Learning and Diversity Officer about the firm’s employee experience journey. And, for this issue’s cover story, we sat down with GitLab’s Vice President of Talent & Engagement, to find out how the business has been able to maintain highly engaged workers and excellent customer growth with a fully remote team.
As ever, we hope that you find this content thought-provoking when navigating HR best practice into the new year.
