A union is calling for an “immediate crackdown” on a loophole exploited by unscrupulous employment agencies and umbrella companies that could allow them to profit from apprenticeship levy deductions.
Unite reported that it has received a growing number of payslips from workers which show that employment agencies and umbrella companies are deducting the apprentice levy from workers’ pay.
